Start with stamping a design of your choice on an 8 1/2" x 11" sheet of cardstock. Don't be afraid to mix and match stamp sets. For this example, I only used one set, but usually, I mix and match sets.

Then cut the sheet into four standard layers (4" x 5 1/4") for a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" card. Stamp your sentiments after you decide if you want to make your cards portrait or landscape. You'll probably end up mixing and matching. For this reason, I wait to prepare my card bases. I also emboss the top layer to add some texture--use a subtle background pattern embossing folder.

Don't forget to decorate your envelope and inside layer for a professional look!
